About me
I am Farners, a mother of three and the soul behind MAMAA MATERNITAT.
I live in Girona and have long trained to support women and families on their journey toward conscious, respectful, and connected motherhood.
My personal experience as a mother of three (ages 18, 15, and 5) has taught me that every stage, every child, and every experience is unique. And also, that when we feel supported through respect and listening, everything changes.
I'm passionate about supporting other women on this profound journey. My goal is to create safe spaces where every mother, every baby, and every family feels seen, supported, and free to experience their journey in their own way.
From pregnancy to postpartum, including complementary feeding, safe and physiological babywearing, infant massage, emotional support, and much more, at MAMAA you'll find a place where you can be yourself.
Thank you for trusting me. I'm here to support you, from the bottom of my heart.

-
Compartir nuestras experiencias, dudas y emociones.
-
Meditar y reconectar con nosotras mismas
-
Crear espacios de calma, cura y autenticidad.
-

AT THE DISTANCE

A safe and loving space to support you, wherever you are.
Breastfeeding can be beautiful, but also challenging. And when questions, discomfort, or simply the need to be heard arise, having respectful and caring support can make all the difference.
At MAMAA MATERNITAT, I offer online lactation consultations so you can receive professional guidance from home, without having to travel, in a private and peaceful setting.
This space is for you if:
-
You have questions about latch, posture, or milk production.
-
You feel pain, insecurity or confusion during the breastfeeding process.
-
You are going through a period of change, such as weaning or returning to work.
-
You're looking for a respectful, non-judgmental perspective that values your intuition and your story.
How does it work?
We connect via video call at the agreed-upon time. During the consultation, I listen to you, we observe what's happening together, and I support you with personalized, practical, evidence-based suggestions, but also based on the wisdom of the body and the connection.
My commitment is to ensure you feel supported, informed, and empowered, no matter what stage of your life you're in.
Because distance doesn't prevent presence. I'm here for you, with respect, tenderness, and awareness.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN WILL I HAVE MILK?
A mother begins to produce milk from pregnancy, but there are different stages:
-
During pregnancy (starting in the second trimester), the body already produces pre-colostrum, a thick and highly nutritious milk that will be the first the baby receives.
-
Colostrum is readily available immediately after birth. This is why skin-to-skin contact and the early initiation of breastfeeding are so important.
-
During the first week postpartum, what we call the "milk come-in" occurs, where transitional milk begins to be produced in greater quantities.
Milk production is primarily regulated by the baby's suckling. The more the baby sucks, the more milk the body will produce. Support, rest, hydration, and companionship also play a significant role.
IS MY BABY GETTING ENOUGH?
When breastfeeding, we don't see how much the baby is drinking, but there are clear signs that everything is going well:
1. Makes enough wet and dirty diapers
-
From the 5th or 6th day of life: at least 5-6 wet diapers a day.
-
Mustard-yellow, soft or liquid stools.
2. Gain weight regularly
-
You may lose some the first few days, but you should regain it within 10-14 days.
-
From then on, the increase is usually constant (although each baby has its own pace).
3. Active and effective suction
-
It makes rhythmic and deep sucks.
-
You can see that he swallows (sometimes he makes a small “click” or pause when swallowing).
4. He is calm after breastfeeding
-
Not all of them fall asleep, but they usually appear relaxed and satisfied.
5. Your breast feels softer after feeding
And most importantly: trust your baby and your body. Breastfeeding is a natural process, but also a learned one. If you have any questions, contact us; it's ideal to have a lactation consultant.
I JUST PULLED MILK, CAN I MIX IT WITH WHAT I HAVE IN THE FRIDGE?
Yes, you can mix freshly expressed breast milk with milk you already have in the fridge, but there is one important condition:
You must first cool the freshly expressed milk.
Freshly expressed milk is at body temperature, and if you mix it directly with cold milk, it can alter the temperature of the milk already stored and encourage bacterial growth.
To do?
-
Extract the milk.
-
Let it cool to refrigerator temperature (you can place the container in a glass of cold water or directly in the refrigerator for about 30-60 minutes).
-
Once it's cold, you can mix it with the breast milk you already have in the fridge.
Important:
-
Only mix milk that has the same temperature.
-
Always label with the date of the oldest milk.
DO I HAVE TO HEAT MY BREAST MILK BEFORE FEEDING?
It is not mandatory to heat breast milk,
But many babies prefer it warm, especially if they are used to the breast (which is at body temperature)
Options:
1. If the milk is in the refrigerator:
Yes, you can heat it gently:
-
Place the container (bottle or bag) in a glass with hot water for a few minutes.
-
Or use a bottle warmer on low heat.
Never use a microwave, as it can heat unevenly and destroy some important nutrients.
2. If the milk is at room temperature (and it has not been more than 4 hours):
You can give it as is. Many babies accept it unheated.
3. If it is frozen:
First defrost in the refrigerator (ideal), and then heat gently as in step 1.
Final tip: Try what works best for your baby. Some babies accept cold milk without a problem, while others prefer it warm, like from the breast.
HOW SHOULD I STORE BREAST MILK?
1. Recommended containers:
-
Special bags for breast milk
-
Food-safe glass or plastic baby bottles or jars (clean and with tight-fitting lids)
-
Always label with the date and time of extraction
Duration depending on where you store it:
Place Temperature Duration
At room temperature 19–22 °C Up to 4 hours
In the refrigerator 4 °C or less Up to 4 days
In the freezer (shared with the refrigerator) -18 °C approx. Up to 3 months
In a separate freezer -20 °C Up to 6 months (ideal)
Helpful tips:
-
Do not refill an already frozen container with freshly expressed milk.
-
Always mix milk of the same temperature (cold with cold, warm with warm).
-
To defrost, do so in the refrigerator or under warm water.
-
Do not refreeze milk that has already been thawed.
-
Once heated, use it within the next hour and do not store it again.

The day you get pregnant, you are filled with a joy that I will never know how to explain in words.
If the pregnancy goes well, that's how mine was ... IT'S MAGICAL! How I miss him now, and suddenly I have you in my arms..ufff! Here begins the adventure of being a mother. Throughout the process there have been a thousand moments to ask, to receive advice and not want to listen to it, the decisions on how to manage motherhood are put into motion
In my case it is time for the chest, what a pain ... !! What a concern ... !! And above all how much ignorance. Once you leave the hospital, you go for a check-up and they tell you that your child is not gaining enough weight, from then on the advice ceases to be advice to become impositions on how to feed your child and you think: milk?
And suddenly you fall ...
But your Farners arrived, you changed the direction of my thoughts and this was how we discovered little things that we could do better and above all you let me know and trust that all women CAN breastfeed if we believe so.
Farners advised me, pampered and cared for me, with experiences and advice learned.
Today I am the mother who decided to breastfeed and after the storm she succeeded.
Thank you so much for the advice, I would not have succeeded!
